This day, 31 December, 1953, Premier Zhou Enlai received the Indian government delegation participating in Sino-Indian negotiations on the relationship between Tibet and India, and debuted the five principles of peaceful coexistence; mutual respect for territorial sovereignty, non aggression, non interference in each other’s internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.
