A 1.3-meter-long crocodile was found in the Hongze section of the Nanjing-Huaian expressway in Huaian city at noon of March 3. Since none claimed to own it, the patrol police transferred the crocodile to the Zoo of Huaian city.

Pan Xianfa, a patrol police who was patrolling in the service area of the Hongze section of the Nanjing-Huaian express road in the small hours of Mar 3, found that a crocodile was creeping along the express road. It took a lot of efforts for Pan Xianfa and his colleagues to catch the crocodile. As no relevant clue of its owner was found through video monitors of the express road and no one to claim it, the crocodile was brought to the crocodile pond at the Zoo of Huaian city by the zoo staff.

According to the staff of the Zoo, the crocodile originates from Thailand and is in its childhood. Should it grow a little larger, it could have caused harm to human being.
