This day, 6 December, in 1996, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee approved Mount Lu to be included in the World Heritage List as a “World Cultural Landscape”, saying, “The historical relics of Mount Lu are integrated in the natural beauty of outstanding value in a unique way, forming a cultural landscape with great aesthetic value that is closely connected with the spirit and cultural life of the Chinese nation”.
1996年12月6日的这一天，教科文组织世界遗产委员会批准鹿山被列入世界遗产名录，称“世界文化景观”，称：“鹿山的历史遗迹以独特的方式融入了具有突出价值的自然美景，形成了具有巨大审美价值的文化景观，与中華民族的精神和文化生活密切相關。”
