A woman who was walking home from a movie theatre in Hangzhou has been abducted by three men late at night. The men stole ¥40,000, took indecent photographs of the woman and threatened her before returning her 4 hours later. The men were quickly arrested.

Qianjiang Evening News revealed that, as a result of borrowing money for a gaming website, the three men, around 30 years old, each owed roughly ¥100,000 to online lending companies. After much pressure from the loan sharks, the men resorted to robbery.

The woman, a Miss Lin, who had been watching a movie was walking home alone when suddenly a car stopped by her side. A strange man, later revealed to be surnamed Wu, grabbed her mouth with one hand and tried to stick her head into the car. Lin struggled, so another man Wang joined the struggle, eventually getting her into the car, when upon the driver Li locked in the door.

Lin shouted for help and begged for the three to release her, “We only seek money; if you’re quiet we won’t hurt you”, they told her. When they found that there was no cash in her bag, they took Lin’s mobile phone and began to ask for WeChat, Alipay and bank card passwords.

Wu threatened Lin saying that they had a hidden knife that they could use against her if she didn’t comply. Lin obeyed and gave out all of her passwords. Wang transferred ¥40,000 to his gaming website account.

While waiting for the transfer to arrive at the account, the three men forced Lin to take indecent photos of herself, copied her mobile phone address book and threatened her, “If you dare to call the police, we will send your indecent photos to your friends and relatives”.

In the early hours of the morning, Lin was sent back to the vicinity of Hangzhou’s Huancheng Dong Lu, where she immediately called the police; at noon that day, the police arrested the three.
