The hand-hold charge pal invented by Lin Gang, a student of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), has drawn wide attention of venture investment companies at the venture demonstration activity “Tus-Star Camp 2014 (Nanjing)” in early August.

This charge pal doesn’t need to plug in or use battery to charge. The charge pal, when held in the hand, can convert the heat of a human’s body to power and then charge different electronic devices.

Lin has decided on companies for cooperation after several rounds of contact. “A letter of interest will be signed with a venture investment company in Beijing on Aug 8,” said Lin. “The cooperation will be mainly in the form of Angel Capital and we’ll develop the product together,” said Lin.

It is estimated that four companies will participate in the cooperation, and the equity structure for each company will be discussed next.

The total investment for the project is forecast at around 500,000 yuan (US$81,397) and the hand-hold charge pal is expected to the market at the end of 2014 if everything goes smoothly.
