With the Nanjing YOG around the corner, the People’s Bank of China (PBC) Nanjing upgraded its foreign services and non-cash payment service. As a result, 93 percent of ATMs in the city are available for foreign cards such as VISA, MaterCard, JCB and AMEX with bilingual interface and foreign card-logo fitted.
A total of 896 bank outlets and 53 foreign currency exchange agencies across the city provide foreign currency exchange service. Blanket coverage for bank outlets and POS terminals is realized within 3 kilometers of YOG venues, designated hotels and tourist attractions. The coverage rate of POS terminals in business facilities across the city hits 94 percent.
In terms of foreign services, working staff of PBC Nanjing are under training for foreign services, especially for minority language, with 16 major currencies such as US Dollar, Euro, Hong Kong Dollar and Japanese yen included.
