Two Ligers, a hybrid cross between a male lion and a tigress, are to meet tourists in Wuxi Zoo from April 1st to May 3rd.

The two ligers are brothers, with the three-year-old elder brother weighing 400 kg and the two-year-old younger brother 300 kg, both 100 kg heavier than their peer tigers.

Ligers are very huge in size, and have lion-like head and tiger-like striped pattern on the body. According to statistics, there are only about 1000 ligers in the world, and it’s even rarer in China.
