We’ll get to that last part later.
As to the core of the report, China’s white collar workers’ problems begin before they even reach the sanctuary of the cubicle, with fully 57 percent of internet users saying that they always encounter queues when going to the company toilet.
The reason for the wait? The 60 percent of those in the cubicle simply looking at their WeChat Moments and the 32 percent who are shopping, reports TechWeb.
Or perhaps it is those experiencing some kind of emotional disconnect from the world. 35 percent of office toilet goers revealed that they spend their time in there in a daze, while, most worrying of all, 18 percent said they cry while in the bathroom.
On a brighter note, 51 percent of people work while conducting their other business. Others (33 percent) said that they use their bathroom time as a way of coping with the pressure of the working day, and that their time in there is (again rather worryingly) directly proportional to that day’s stress levels.
So how much toilet paper do those powering the development of this fine nation get through? The report revealed that 38 percent of internet users consume 3-5 pieces of toilet paper when relieving themselves, while 36 percent prefer to judge the amount necessary by feel alone.
And most surprisingly of all, 2 percent of people admitted to not using paper at all.
