This day, 18 March, in 1983, the headquarters of the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force was established in Beijing. The Force and its leading organs at all levels implements a system of combining compulsory and volunteer soldiers, the doctrines and regulations of the People’s Liberation Army, and enjoy the same treatment as the People’s Liberation Army.
