This day, 24 February, in 1984, after inspecting the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) of Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Xiamen, Deng Xiaoping said, “The Zones are a window, a window for technology, a window for management, a window for knowledge and a window for foreign policy. Via the SEZs, we can introduce technology, acquire knowledge, and learn management, and management is also knowledge”.
