The first documentary town in China has settled down in Dongshan of Suzhou, according to news came from Beijing International Film Festival which was just concluded a few days ago.
The documentary town in Dongshan is going to carry out a series of activities, such as documentary training, documentary contests for college students, and proposal conferences, and build master workshops, theme hotels and documentary cinemas, etc.
Dongshan became the earliest location shooting base in film and television industry in China in the 1930s when the film and television industry just sprang up, and more than 180 film and television plays have been shot in Dongshan, said Lu Weimin, chief of Dongshan town.
