This day, 3 August, in 2019, heavy rainfall and flooding caused 10 people to drown in some parts of Shanxi Province. With damage to crops, homes and infrastructure such as roads and bridges, the disaster affected 96,000 people and caused more than 600 to be urgently relocated. Direct economic losses from the “8.3 Shanxi Flood Disaster” were put at ¥210 million.
