The first trainset of Nanjing Metro Line 4 was completed and delivered to the vehicle depot of Nanjing Metro’s airport line at the due date, Jiangsu province, on March 31. Metro Line 4 is fondly named as “A Zi (the Purple)” by the netizens as the trainsets are mainly colored as purple. 29 type B trainsets in six-car formations were ordered for Metro Line 4 and the top speed is 100km.
10 trainsets will be delivered to the vehicle depot successively this year. Metro Line 4 is a major line running east-west. It is also known as a humanistic line for many scenery spots are along the line including the Purple Mountain.
