On this Day in Chinese History; 8 July

This day, 8 July, in 1994, DPRK Chairman Kim Il Sung passed away. The condolence message from China read, “Comrade Kim Il Sung always enthusiastically maintained and developed the traditional friendship between the Chinese and Korean peoples. The deep friendship he forged with the older generation of Chinese revolutionaries has promoted the continuous development of China-North Korea relations”.
