This day, 5 June, in 2014, a draft revision of the Environmental Protection Law submitted to the 8th Session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People’s Congress for deliberation made corresponding provisions for environmental protection publicity and enhancing citizens’ environmental awareness. The draft also stipulated that 5 June of each year be Environment Day.
