Nanjing Subway Line 10 and Airport Line will be open to traffic on July 1, announced Nanjing Metro on June 24.
It is learnt that the total mileage of subway transport in Nanjing will reach 135 kilometers and the number of stations will increase to 75 from 57 after the two lines are put into service. And it is estimated that the subway passenger flow will reach 1.5 to 1.6 million person-times each day. By then, it will take 35 minutes to travel from Nanjing Lukou International Airport to Nanjing South Railway Station with a ticket worth 6 yuan ($1), and 34 minutes from Yushan Road Station, the starting point at Jiangbei Area of Nanjing, to Andemen Station at the main urban area with a ticket worth 4 yuan ($0.64). It costs up to 9 yuan ($1.44) to travel within the railway system. And monthly ticket will be sold from June 24 to 30, with which one can reach any station of the railway system with 4 yuan since July 1.
