This day, 1 December, in 1992, the New Eurasian Land Bridge, from Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province to the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, was put into operation. The New Eurasian Land Bridge, which spans 10,800 kilometres across the Eurasian continent, connects the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, radiating to more than 30 countries and regions.
