This day, 20 November, in 1993, Chinese President Jiang Zemin attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Informal Meeting in Seattle, USA, where he would later meet with US President Bill Clinton and emphasise that the two countries share common interests on many major issues, saying increased trust between China and the United States plays a positive role in the international arena.
