This day, 14 October, in 1992, the National Copyright Administration of China announced that China had become the 93rd member state of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, entering effect in China the following day. The Convention provides creators such as authors, musicians, poets, painters etc., with the means to control how their works are used, by whom, and on what terms.
