On this Day in Chinese History; 2 October

This day, 2 October, in 1949, with a visiting Soviet and Korean delegation in attendance as witness, China in Beijing adopted the “Declaration of China’s Conference to Defend World Peace”, solemnly declaring to the world that the Chinese people resolutely oppose aggressive wars and support world peace”.
