On this Day in Chinese History; 8 September

This day, 8 September, in 1984, when Deng Xiaoping met with Francesco Cossiga, Italian President, he said that there are many potential flashpoints in the world and it is impossible to solve them without adopting new methods suited for new problems. The concept of, “One country, two systems”, is in line with Marxist principles and is for the sake of peace without resorting to war. It is called peaceful coexistence.
