Electronic firecrackers are gaining popularity in Suzhou after the city banned sales of fireworks a month ago. A man surnamed Li bought two strands of e-firecrackers for 400 yuan (US$58.32) and said they are cheaper and reusable. People can also borrow e-firecrackers from community service centers in Gusu District.
