“Nanjing Week” of 2016 London Design Festival will run from Sept 17 to 23, with exhibitions of urban cultural heritages including Kunqu Opera, Nanjing cloud-pattern brocade, Nanjing ancient city wall, Chinese characters and imperial examination.
Artists will perform Tang Xianzu’s and Shakespeare’s dramas at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of the two master wordsmiths. Kunqu opera artists will also have “flash shows” in London’s iconic buildings and attractions.
