People from Jiangsu province have the third biggest capacity for alcohol, while Shandong people take the top spot, according to a recent survey conducted through thousands of interviewees from 26 provinces and regions who drank every day during the Spring Festival holidays.
The survey also reveals that the average volume for one drinker each time is 130g, and 22% of Jiangsu people drink alcohol, with 44.9% drinking spirit. Jiangyin of the southern Jiangsu has the most drinkers, when Taicang of southeastern Jiangsu has the best.
China is a country with a vast number of Hepatitis B sufferers, and the prevalence of wine culture has also contributed to this result. According to specialists, the safe volume for daily alcohol consumption should be controlled within 25g for men and 15g for women.
