Nanjing municipal government loosened limits on the second child for re-married couples on Jan 4, according the regulations in the Population and Family Planning Regulation of Jiangsu Province.
The new policy sets no limits on the custody of children before the remarriage. Even each of the digamous couples has one child, they can apply for a second child after remarriage. In addition, the limit is further loosened if one of the digamous couples is the only child and never gives birth.
