Spectators of Shooting and Archery events must remain silent during the events to allow athletes to perform.

Any sound during the events may impact the athletes and ultimately interfere with the results. Spectators are requested to turn their mobile phones off or to silent mode upon arriving at the venue, and may not walk around the venue, shout or talk loudly or display banners.

As athletes release the bow, absolute silence is critical.

When an athlete has made a good shot, spectators may applaud. However, should an athlete miss a target, it would be impolite to applaud and would aggravate the psychological pressure of the athlete.
