This day, 14 November, in 1994, President Jiang Zemin held a formal meeting with US President William Jefferson Clinton during an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ informal meeting held in Bogor, Indonesia. Therein, President Clinton agreed with Jiang, saying and China must further develop mutually beneficial economic and trade relations, enhance trust, handle differences in a friendly spirit, and cooperate on solving global issues.
