Here Come the 1st Trains for Line 5; other Lines “on Track”!

When it’s done, Nanjing Metro Line 5 is likely to go down in history as the longest transportation-construction project in the entire history of our city. Development of the rest of network, however, remains more or less on schedule.

建成后,南京地铁5号线将有可能作为南京历史上最长的交通建设项目载入史册。然而,网络其余部分的开发仍或多或少地按计划进行。

Recently, the first train for Metro Line 5, pictured, made its debut at the Daxiaochang Depot situated in Nanjing’s New South City.

近日,地铁5号线首趟列车(如图)在南京新南城大校场车辆段首开。

“I felt an unprecedented sense of satisfaction”, said Shao Bo, Technical Director for the Line’s TA08 section.

“我感受到了前所未有的满足感”,TA08段技术总监邵波说。

As of last month, envelopes for all 30 of the stations on Line 5 are complete, while 43 of 47 shield tunnels have been completed. Some sections have also entered the track-laying stage and construction of station interiors.

截至上个月,5号线30个车站的围护结构已全部完成,47个盾构隧道中的43个已完成。部分路段也已进入铺轨阶段和车站内部建设阶段。

Elsewhere, but still speaking of track, Nanjing Metro revealed this Monday, 8 May, that line laying on the south section of Line 7 is now complete, i.e. the section between Yingtian Da Jie and Xishan Qiao. As the next part of the Nanjing Metro to open, the section’s projected commencement remains sometime towards the end of this year.

在其他地方,但还是说到轨道,南京地铁于 5 月 8 日星期一透露,7 号线南段的线路现已完工,即应天大街至西山桥之间的路段。作为南京地铁即将开通的下一个路段,该路段预计将于今年年底开工。

Looking to Phase 3 of Line 3, both the stations involved are presently being built, with the main structure of Hefeng Lu Station now complete.

就3号线三期而言,涉及的两个车站目前都在建设中,其中和丰路站主体结构现已完成。

It’s a similar situation as to Phase 2 of Line 4, Phase 1 of Line 9, Phase 2 of Line 10 and Phase 1 of Line 11, for which the majority of stations are being constructed at present, and many having completed their main structures.

4号线二期、9号线一期、10号线二期、11号线一期的情况类似,目前大部分车站正在建设中,不少车站已完成主体结构。

Looking to the regional, or cross-provincial, lines under construction, all eyes are on Anhui Province, neighbouring our very own Jiangsu to the west. 

放眼正在建设的区域性、跨省级线路,大家的目光都集中在西边与江苏相邻的安徽省。

Line S4, also known as the Chuzhou Rail Transit Ningchu Line, is set to be our first link with not another city, but another province altogether. And the first such line to do so out of Jiangsu. Line S4 is expected to open to traffic in July, 2023.

S4号线,又名滁州轨道交通宁滁线,将成为我们与另一个城市而不是另一个省的第一条线路。江苏是第一条此类线路。 S4线预计2023年7月建成通车。

Finally, Nanjing Metro Line S2 shall also be joining Jiangsu with Anhui, in particular our neighbouring city of Ma’anshan. That Line is projected for a 2025 opening.

最后,南京地铁S2线也将连接江苏和安徽,特别是我们邻近的马鞍山市。该线预计于 2025 年开通。
