This day, 26 July, in 1947, ships surrendered by Japan to China arrived in Shanghai. Received by the Nanjing National Government in two batches, each flew an ā€œEā€ signal flag, designated as a provisional Japanese civil ensign. The acceptance of said ships was carried out in accordance with the relevant agreement between China, Great Britain, the Soviet Union and the United States.
