After our unusual eight-day golden week, welcome back. The miraculous mass movement of people has been completed.
On the subject of movement, as humans lurch towards a world run by artificial intelligence and serviced by robots, it is disconcerting to note the semi-automatic announcements on buses going wrong. The soon-to-be-replaced driver presses the button for the computerized announcement. It stutters for about half a minute before launching into information about the next stop. Then halfway through a word stops altogether. More work needed perhaps?
Perhaps we have just had our last warm day for the year, but the mild Autumn weather continues, belying our reputation as a city that only has two seasons.
