This day, 1 June, 2012, International Children’s Day, Chinese Internet giant Baidu launched its “Baidu Charity Hour”. During the event from 11:00 to 12:00, some 360,202 citizens sent their blessings to school children in deprived areas. Baidu responded by providing the equivalent number of complimentary lunches to children in such areas, with a total value of ¥1,080,606.
