A Spanish guest named Aguirrezabala Joseba Koldobika became the first foreigner enjoying the 144-hour visa-free-transit treatment in Zhenjiang.
The Spanish went to Zhenjiang for business as a company employee and checked in at Zhenjing International Hotel after his temporary residence registration. Later he left China from Shanghai Pudong International Airport after staying in Zhenjiang for three days.
Since Jan 30, 2016, a new policy has been implemented that personnel with valid international travel documents of 51 countries can enjoy the 144-hour visa-free-transit treatment at various ports opening to the outside world in Shanghai, airport in Nanjing of Jiangsu province and airport in Hangzhou of Zhejiang province.
