The certificates for older medical experts as volunteers for Xinjiang were issued to 11 retired medical experts from Jiangsu by Ma Xuejun, member of the standing committee and secretary of Organization Department of Xinjiang provincial Party committee, in Urumqi on June 23, marking the official launch of the Xinjiang-support action by older talents initiated by Jiangsu.
“Since 1997, Jiangsu has sent out over 1,200 persons in eight batches for the counterpart support in Xinjiang,” said the vice-secretary of organization department of Jiangsu provincial Party committee. There are a large number of experts in fields of economy, science and technology, education and medicine among more than 700,000 retired cadres. Older educational and industrial experts will also be selected to Xinjiang.
The medical experts will go to Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, hold free clinics for residents and stationing soldiers and share their medical experience with local medical personnel.
