“Sumanou”, a non-stop train which runs from Suzhou in China to Warsaw in Poland and known as the longest container transport train, will start heading for its European destination once a week, compared with previous three voyages a month, from July, said Shanghai Railway Bureau on June 24.

Starting from Suzhou West Railway Station, exiting China at Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and arriving at Warsaw of Poland by the Trans-Siberian Railway, this 11,200-kilimeter railway is China’s only express train that starts from Suzhou and exits the country at Manzhouli before reaching its destination in Europe. Compared with traditional marine transport, the duration and cost for rail transport are cut almost by half.
