‘Taipei 101’ meets ‘Zifeng Tower’ in Nanjing Agriculture Carnival

A “Taipei 101” made of 194 pineapples produced in Taiwan, and a “Zifeng Tower” made of 156 Xiaolan watermelons produced in Hengxi, have attracted visitor’s eyes at the 9th Nanjing Agriculture Carnival.

The two-day-long 9th Nanjing Agriculture Carnival opened at the Nanjing International Expo Center on Oct 13 where visitors can enjoy food from across the nation, buy fresh agricultural products and learn some interesting agricultural knowledge. Highlights of the carnival include organic vegetables using physical insecticide, asparagus, pillow made of ginkgo leaves, and pots and fertilizers made from waste straw.

The carnival, which occupies a land area of over 40,000 square meters with six pavilions including “The big stage”, “Jiangsu’s most attractive leisure country pavilion”, “Ecological agriculture”, “Agricultural culture pavilion”, “Shopping street” and “Gourmet paradise”, draws over 200 enterprises to attend.
