Self-driven auto cars can brake automatically, IMAX films can be portable and available anytime and anywhere, and wheelchairs can follow its owner and dodge obstacles on its own. Those high-tech products have been successfully developed at Changzhou Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University and some of them are already available in the market.

A new-energy-driven smart mini car developed by Luobo Tech at the smart car research center of Zhejiang University is only half the size of a SMART car. It supports auto driving and multiple modes of perception and is capable of safety reminder, automatic cruise, speed limit, etc. Such smart mini cars are hard to collide with other vehicles and thus very safe. Interested consumers can now try the car in China Dinosaur Park in Changzhou.

The 3D and virtual reality team in the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University developed the third generation of 3D virtual reality helmet so that film fans can enjoy IMAX 3D films at home. Li Yunpeng, deputy general manager of Jiangsu Zhenhuan Liying Technology Co Ltd, showed their new generation of virtual reality helmet for the phone. Users only need to put and install the phone containing the downloaded 3D movies into the helmet, put the helmet on and they will be able to enjoy the IMAX movies. The helmet is the first of its kind in terms of its outlook and mechanical structure worldwide and is the lightest and most confortable helmet of virtual reality for the phone.
