Citizens in Nanjing will be able to take a walk all the way from YOG Park to Jiangxinzhou, a middle bar in the central Yangtze River in Nanjing, thanks to China’s first pedestrian bridge over the Yangtze River which is set to be built up before the opening of the YOG.

The pedestrian bridge will start from Jiangshan Avenue which is in the south of Olympic Sports Center and will ends at the south of Jiangxinzhou. The length of the bridge is 710 meters and the width is 10 meters. The bridge will be used for sightseeing by tourist battery cars or walking with no automobiles allowed. The walk from Jiangxzhou to Hexi (the west side of the Yangtze River) will just take five minutes.

There will be at least six river channels passing through Jiangxinzhou. Besides, low-carbon public transportations including BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), tramcars and public bikes will connect Jiangxinzhou with downtown area of Nanjing seamlessly.
