An advertisement for a wife was published in a Nanjing newspaper on Mar 26 in four languages, namely Chinese, English, German and Russian, attracting numerous netizens’ attention and was rapidly forwarded.
This ads costing tens of thousands and covering half a page was made by a professor of Nanjing University (NU) who is in his forties who proclaims to have profound learning and broad interests and wants to find a mature and pretty woman to be his wife.
This professor frankly listed his own profile at the beginning: male, 44, 168 cm, 74 kg, single (i.e. never married), born in Zhejiang province. He also gives out his education background and profession: Undergraduate in NU, Master of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ph.D. of Ivy League School, Postdoctoral of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and now a professor and doctoral tutor in Nanjing University.
The four languages interspersed in the ads are the most eye-catching stunt. The entire ads enumerated his life experiences and personal hobbies in a humorous language with some poetry and some caricature.
