Nantong will endeavor to make its Yangkou Port, Qidong Port and Xingdong Airport Port pass the national and provincial acceptance inspection for opening-up by the end of this year, reported Jiangsu’s media on May 5.

Nantong has been pushing forward construction of port opening platforms in order to strengthen economic and trade exchanges with the countries along “one belt and one road”. After two river ports, namely Nantong Port and Rugao Port, became Class-A ports, the State Council has successively approved the opening-up of Nantong’s Yangkou Port, Qidong Port and Xingdong Airport by March this year. Nantong has owned two river ports, two sea ports and one air port so far, becoming the first prefecture-level city that owns 5 Class-A ports in China.
