The official website of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympics Games (YOG) was launched on June 10 and two “young messengers” was unveiled, indicating that the YOG publicity work has entered the period of Games.

The construction of YOG official website has been carried out in two parts: pre-Games part and during-Games part. The pre-Games website was opened in Oct 2010 and the in-Games website should be unveiled in this June as required by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The newly-launched website which includes Chinese, English and French versions fully uses the iconic colors of YOG while integrating Nanjing elements such as city wall, pailou (decorated archway) and plum flower. It is made up of six categories — news report, games report, culture and education, information service, spectator service and media services — in 120 web pages.

The website is designed and built up by a team with an average age of 25. And it is also a globalized website because over 20 young volunteers as well as youngster from all over the world will join this team during the Games, a proof to the slogan of “let the youngster star in the YOG” proposed by the YOG Organizing Committee.
