Nanjing will set up 300 pilot sites of urban voluntary service before the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games (YOG), according to the news conference on Jan 27, one day before the 200-day countdown to YOG.
The service standard system will also be issued to provide such voluntary services as traffic guide, information, interpreting, emergency rescue, and convenience services.
Theme activities will be launched via new media as it has become a major platform to greet the YOG. Activities like flash-mob and online photo exhibitions could be held to attract overseas students in Nanjing and outbound visitors, so that YOG will become more internationally influential.
