Nanjing plans to build 300 electric vehicle battery-charging stations, a piece of good news for e-car lovers.

Tesla, the most prominent electric supercar in the world, was exhibited in Nanjing on April 11, drawing a host of visitors. Tesla could travel 502 kilometers if fully charged with the 0-100km/h sprint completed in 4.4 seconds.

A group of vehicle lovers in Nanjing have ordered the first batch of Tesla designed exclusively for China, which will enter the domestic market this June at the soonest when they will be licensed.

In order to encourage the development of eco-friendly electric automobiles, Jiangsu is planning the battery-charging station network for the automobiles, out of which 300 will be built in Nanjing. It takes 6 to 8 hours for an e-car to be charged by home power supply, in comparison to 20 minutes needed in battery-charging station. If the 300 charging stations are installed, it will greatly promote the popularity of these eco-friendly motor cars.
