Nanjing Subway to extend to Anhui Province

Subway routes including Nanjing-Chuzhou Intercity Rail, Nanjing-Ma’anshan Intercity Rail and Nanjing-Hexian Intercity Rail will reach as far as Anhui Province in an effort to build the Nanjing metropolitan area, according to the latest rail traffic plan released by the Nanjing Municipal Government on 17th March 17. Nanjing will start the Phase 1 construction of Nanjing-Hexian subway along with other related cities in the metropolitan area this year. The construction of Nanjing-Jurong Intercity Rail and Nanjing-Yangzhou Intercity Rail will enter the preliminary research period. Nanjing will also enhance the level of transport services in the metropolitan area. Nanjing will speed up the construction of passenger transportation and hubs and promote metropolitan passenger lines and make all these services smooth within the area. Toll stations in Zhenjiang, Chuzhou and Ma’anshan will be integrated and related passenger lines will be optimized. In the future, people will have a very convenient experience when they travel within the metropolitan area.
