Nanjing Qixia Police cracked a theft case in which cables worth more than 500,000 yuan (aounrd $80,000) in construction sites of two cities were stolen on July 16.

After receiving report that cables were stolen in construction sites at Jurong district of Zhenjiang and Sheshan area of Nanjing’s Qixia district in March this year, Qixia Police carried out a 3-month-long investigation into the case and eventually identified a SUV car as the vehicle used in the theft cases. The SUV car was later discovered by the police when paroling a residential block in early July.

Three suspects, Zhang Hua, Li Qiang and a man surnamed Zhang (all the three names are alias), were detained at 6pm of July 16. Further investigation is under way.
