Nanjing builds China’s first stereo-garage with charging pole

China’s first intelligent stereo-garage fitted with charging pole, developed by Nanjing NARI, was put into use in Shanghai, reported Jiangsu media on July 2. The application of the new facility opens a new chapter in the use of charging facility for new energy vehicles.

The stereo-garage is located in State Grid Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company in Hongkou District. The garage is divided into three layers and each parking space is equipped with a small oil gun-like charging pole with is connected with wires and controller.

There is in total 59 parking spaces in this stereo-garage. Among them, 13 are equipped with charging pole. The entire garage occupies only about one third of the size of an ordinary garage. It is learnt that the Shanghai government gives a subsidy of 100,000 yuan ($16,010) to purchaser of electric vehicle.
