Appreciation Exhibition of World-famous Musicians’ Manuscripts will be inaugurated at Steinway Piano Gallery (Nanjing) on Nov 26.
Manuscripts of top musicians, including Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Wagner and Johann Strauss II, will be on show.
As the most important “treasure” in world classical music circle, Mozart’s manuscript attracts the attention of all musicians and collectors. Mozart’s manuscript exhibited this time is the fifth movement of Serenade in D major.
Beethoven’s manuscript of Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor is very likely to be on show.
In addition, Tchaikovsky’s manuscript on show was composed on Feb 22, 1876 to commemorate his friendship with Anton Door, an Austria pianist and music educator.
