The General Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government released Implementation Opinions on Accelerating Green Low-carbon Transport Development, Jiangsu’s media reported on Dec 9.
This document proposes goals in building the green public service car fleet including the procurement and use of energy-saving and new energy vehicles, the building ofChina’s first green public service car fleet and the implementation of contract energy management mechanism in all kinds of public traffic construction projects.Government departments will play an exemplary role in energy conservation practices.
Jiangsu will providesubsidies for new photovoltaic power generation projects (not financed by the central government) based on the actual acquisition amount of electricity from the provincial power company. Jiangsu will establish a stable and reliable investment return mechanism to guide private capital, foreign investment and other types of social capital to invest in energy saving transportation infrastructure and efficient transportation fields.
