Development team for online torch relay app went into the campus of Nanjing Normal University on May 9, explaining to foreign students how to download and use this app. Students from around 10 countries took up their cell-phones and download this app, eager to become online torch bearer of Asian Youth Games (AYG).
Sources said this online torch relay app features “Yuan Yuan”, mascot of Nanjing AYG, Blue Jinling as the main torch. Through various means such as casual games, sports-related questions, and torch relay between friends, the game simulates the whole process of torch relay, including tinder collecting, torch relay, kindling fire and sealing tinder. Online torch relay is based on the map of Asia, involving 45 Asian countries and regions and a total of 238 relay points.
