A biography bookshop opened in Jinling Hotel in Nanjing recently, becoming the fifth JIC Bookstore under the theme of biography. The four bookstores previously opened in Shanghai, Wuxi, Beijing and Hangzhou.
Liu Gui, the general manager of the bookshop, said that: “Biographies themselves have unusual significance, because they describe someone’s lifetime in a very condensed way. The biography industry abroad is flourishing, however, domestic readers haven’t develop the habit of reading biographies. ”
