The coordination symposium of the Engineering and Consulting Firms Association, Japan and symposium on Japan’s cutting-edge technologies was held in Nanjing on the afternoon of Nov 1. Scientific research and technical experts from China and Japan jointly discussed the technological development in the future under the impact of craftsmanship spirit.

Founded in 1951, the Engineering and Consulting Firms Association, Japan now has more than 12,000 professional engineers in the industrial circles in Japan, covering almost all the technological fields. The 12 members of delegation this time are the technical experts in different fields, all coming from the Kinki headquarters.

China should learn the craftsmanship spirit from the Japanese, pursue excellence and be careful and precise, said Miao Changwen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice chairman of Jiangsu Institution of Engineers, after hearing the reports made by the Japanese experts.

China has made outstanding achievements in such fields as high-speed railways and aerospace, and deserves being learned from, said the head of the Japanese visiting delegation.
